Allium giganteum

This giant of the Alliums can grow up to 1 metre in height. Tightly packed balls of cerise-purple flowers, up to 15cm across, have protruding stamens that soften their outline. Strappy blue-green leaves; flowering in December. Common name: Giant Onion.
